Families

Park Avenue Christian Church Day School is a non-sectarian school with a warm community made of up vibrant and diverse families. Children of different races, religions, and backgrounds are an integral part of what makes PACCDS so unique. Teachers and staff help each and every child feel welcome and at home. These first experiences are critical in building a love of learning in young children.

PACCDS has an active Parents Association that hosts a variety of events throughout the school year and contributes to the sense of camaraderie and community amongst parents, children and friends of PACCDS. The Children’s Lending Library, Friday Morning Coffees, Holiday Book Fair, Dad’s Pancake Breakfast, Annual Benefit, Children’s Spring Fair, Mom’s Night Out and other events invite the active participation of all parents.

PACCDS also has a strong network of alumni at single-sex and co-educational private schools, as well as public schools across New York City. Every year alumni return to the school for our annual Alumni Ice Cream Social to reconnect with friends and reminisce about their time at PACCDS. Parents of recent alumni also volunteer on panels at PACCDS events and offer insights into specific ongoing schools for families applying to kindergarten.
